There was no plan in place
Walking into the office for the first time was a little daunting. The pastor met me and showed me the desk, and chair. He pointed to a cabinet that had been filled with the minutia of many years of various attempts to print bulletins and Sunday school things. The pastor looked at me proud as a peacock, and said here you go, I am sure you will find everything you need.
I moved signs, paint cans, and various things, I felt a little overwhelmed. There was no way to know which items were still important to someone. And no place to put things. They did have one thing they wanted accomplished, and that was to clean out 40 years of old files. And to shred most of them.
